Fathers need to assume more of an active role in the lives of their daughters. Dads, date your daughters. Be intentional about spending quality time with your daughter. Take her to dinner at a nice restaurant. Be the gentleman; open and hold the doors, and pull out her chair. Talk with her; find out who she is and what she’s thinking. Esteem her; let her know how proud she makes you. Compliment her; tell her how beautiful she is. Secure her; and ensure that you’ll always be there for her.
Mothers, be mindful that everything your daughter sees you do, they are more than likely to repeat. You are their example of what womanhood looks like. Remember, your conduct is on display. Talk to your daughters about virtue, honor, reputation and character. Share with them your experiences and even the mistakes, so they don’t have to repeat them.
